Prices in 2025
As of 1 January 2025 the customers (in the districts of Frýdek-Místek, Karviná, Nový Jičín, and Opava) will pay to Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava a.s. the following water tariff and sewage charge:

Customers living in locations near Frýdek-Místek, Karviná, Nový Jičín, and Opava will pay CZK 70.78 (including 12% VAT) for a cubic meter of drinking water (“the water tariff”) and CZK 67.14 for a cubic meter of wastewater (“the sewage charge”). The year-to-year differences are CZK 3.59 (5.34%) for the water tariff and CZK 1.58 (2.41%) for the sewage charge. In total, the increase is CZK 5.17, this means 3.89% (including 12% VAT).
The price reflects an increase in costs of repair and maintenance of water infrastructure, human resources expenses as well as other operation expenses and overheads. The increase corresponds to the currently projected year-to-year inflation rate in Czechia. SmVaK Ostrava commits to continue providing its customers with top services in the required scope at a reasonable price which corresponds to costs of such services. The prices are well below the socially acceptable price set forth for the Moravian-Silesian Region in the next year.
