In order to improve quality of services provided by SmVaK Ostrava, information about interruptions in drinking water supplies will be published in this section in Czech.
Interruptions of water supplies are governed by the Act No. 274/2001 Coll. on Water Supplies and Sewerage as amended.
Following information (in Czech) is given in each part of the section:
Failures
This section provides information about failures, once information about the scope of such failure is verified. Information is provided about unexpected problems (emergencies) which are investigated into as soon as possible, depending on the nature of an emergency and depending on the number of failures.
Scheduled shutdowns
This section provides information about all scheduled interruptions of water supplies due to operating activities in water networks. Such interruptions are due, for instance, to connection of reconstructed or new pipelines, replacement of metering equipment and fittings, cleaning of water supplies, and other scheduled repair and maintenance works in water supplies and water facilities.
In case of the scheduled shutdowns, the information is published, pursuant to the Act No. 274/2001 Coll. (9), at least 15 days before such interruption.
