SmVaK Ostrava has launched today a new online tool so that customers could choose services comfortably at home

Ostrava, 1 November 2017. In addition to supplies of quality drinking water and discharge and treatment of wastewater, SmVaK Ostrava offers many other services. In order to support potential customers even more, SmVaK Ostrava has developed a new web application. So it is possible now to choose from almost forty services. This is another tool for communication with SmVak Ostrava. It will be used mostly by those people who do not like making phone calls, have little time to visit the customer centre and prefer using of online communication tools. Or they need a guide to help them specify their request - this is supported by a smart browser.

 “Water business is a conservative industry. But the world is dynamically changing in advanced technologies and customer approach. And we have, logically, to response. Those who are interested in our services can search at www.smvak.cz. There is a new distinctive item - Offer of Services. The customers can use this tool to communicate with use and address anything in the territory where we operate. This is an important step towards improved customer comfort and openness", says Anatol Pšenička, Managing Director of SmVaK Ostrava.

Using this tool, it is possible to choose services in seven basic areas that cover approximately forty items. Those who need to remove wastewater from their cesspool or septic tanks, clean their sewage systems or help localise hidden leakage of water do not need to look for a contact to the local sewage centre and do not need to call a free customer line in SmVaK Ostrava. They can use a user friendly form sheet to place a non-binding inquiry and agree steps to be taken.

This tool can be also used by those who need analyses of drinking water or wastewater, those who need supply of water for their swimming pools and those who wish to buy water care products and materials.
It is also possible to use the tool for placing an order for building services, for instance, construction of a water pipeline, trenchless burying of pipes under a road, connection of a service pipe to a water/wastewater system, excavation or other works.

 “I do believe that the customer will find the new communication tool useful. And I hope they will be using it. Of course, there are still other ways and options for placing job orders with us. Our staff  on a free customer line and in customer centres are, of course, ready to help the customers to fill in the inquiry form. But the entire society is living in a more and more digital world. We have been buying more and more things on internet, comfortably at home. In shopping malls, people are concentrated most in meeting points such as in movies or restaurants, instead of looking at goods in shops. And logically there is no way for us to avoid this trend. That is why we are proactively going to meet it halfway”,  says Pšenička.

Building activities (trenchless burying of pipes under roads, construction/reconstruction and repair of water/wastewater pipelines, reconstruction of internal pipelines, connection of service pipes to water/wastewater pipelines, excavation works, modification of surfaces...).
Water services (localisation of hidden leakage of water, choosing the route for pipelines, checking the technical condition of water pipelines using cameras, supplying water for swimming pools…).
Water meters (replacement, reading and failures…).
Wastewater services (removing of wastewater from cesspools and septic tanks, cleaning of sewage system and service pipes, camera inspection of pipelines, measuring of flow rate in waste water, designing – domestic wastewater treatment ... plants).
Laboratory services (chemical and microbiological analyses of drinking water or water from wells, analyses of wastewater samples, analyses of hot water…).
Operation of infrastructure (operation of local/industrial wastewater treatment plants, operation of water/wastewater networks, technical assistance, technical and economic advisory…).
